In a heartfelt display of solidarity and commitment to the development of Imo State, Hon. Dr. Chika Abazu, the Commissioner for Special Duties, has extended a warm welcome to President Bola Ahmed Tinubu as he embarks on his official visit to the state.
On behalf of his family and the people of Imo State, Hon. Dr. Abazu expressed immense joy and pride as he received the President, who is in the state to commission some of the transformative projects initiated by the people-oriented leadership of Governor Hope Uzodimma.
"It is with great pleasure that I, Dr. Chika Abazu, on behalf of my family, warmly welcome the President and Commander-in-Chief of the Federal Republic of Nigeria, His Excellency Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu, GCFR, on his official visit to Imo State, the Eastern Heartland," Hon. Abazu said in his statement.
The Commissioner highlighted several key projects that have been completed under Governor Uzodimma's leadership, reflecting the Governor’s dedication to enhancing the lives of Imo State’s citizens. These include the Emmanuel Iwuanyanwu International Conference Centre (EIICC), the Assumpta Flyover, and five new general hospitals located in Umuokanne, Oguta, Omuma, Mbano, and Mgbidi. Additionally, the ongoing transformation of key roads such as the dualized Owerri-Orlu Road, Owerri-Okigwe Road, Orlu-Umuchima-Akokwa Road, and Mgbidi-Oguta Road were all recognized as significant accomplishments.
"Mr. President, it is a thing of joy that you will use this rare opportunity to commission these massive projects initiated and completed by our people-oriented Governor, Distinguished Senator Hope Uzodimma," Hon. Abazu continued.
Hon. Abazu also expressed confidence in the synergy between President Tinubu’s transformation agenda and the dynamic leadership of Governor Uzodimma. He noted that the remarkable strides made in Imo State under the Governor’s stewardship align perfectly with the President’s vision for a prosperous Nigeria.
"We proudly identify with Mr. President’s transformation agenda and find synergy with our dynamic and people-oriented Governor, Distinguished Senator Hope Uzodimma. We strongly associate with Mr. President’s vision of transforming the country for better and with our Governor’s developmental strides in Imo State," he remarked.
