The 2025 Ofala Festival marks yet another milestone in the remarkable reign of His Majesty, Nnaemeka Alfred Ugochukwu Achebe, mni, CFR, the Obi of Onitsha a monarch renowned not only for his rich cultural legacy but also for his visionary leadership and national relevance.
The Alumni Association of the National Institute (AANI), in a message signed by its President, Ambassador Emmanuel Obi Okafor, mni, congratulated His Majesty on the successful celebration of the Ofala Festival. AANI recognizes the Obi as a model of enlightened leadership and a proud alumnus who exemplifies the values of the National Institute: integrity, excellence, and service.
This year’s Ofala is more than a traditional rite. It is a celebration of identity, resilience, and purposeful leadership. Under His Majesty’s wise guidance, Onitsha has not only preserved its cultural essence but also emerged as a hub for dialogue, development, and unity.
